Four Indian destinations to visit for every tourist during February

In India, February is no less than a magical period. It’s the perfect time to leave the cold of winter behind and welcome spring. Seeing lots of things in the country, with mild weather conditions, flowers blooming, and plenty of colourful events to enjoy, makes February an incredible month. There are many places that you’ll be captivated with whether looking for excitement, history, or peace and quiet in India. I have picked four places because each one gives you something different to make this month special.

    1. Udaipur, India: The City of Lakes

One of the best seasons to visit Udaipur is in February as the weather is neither too hot nor too cold. It is called the “Venice of the East,” and its beautiful lakes, castles, and bazaars make it so.

Start your trip at the City Palace, which is a beautiful architectural piece that gives a wide view of the city and Lake Pichola. The enormous amount of little details used in the construction of the palace is a testification of how gigantic the royal history of Rajasthan was.

You get to see Lake Palace and the beautifulness of Jag Mandir in the water with the sinking of the sun on the horizon of Lake Pichola.

Hathi Pol Bazaar is a busy marketplace and is an excellent destination for art lovers and shopaholics. Real handicrafts, paintings, and linens from Rajasthan can be obtained here.

If you’re in Rajasthan in early February, don’t miss the Shilpgram Festival. It’s an arts and crafts fair that shows off the state’s rich cultural history. There will be music, dance, and handmade goods from the area at this lively festival.

    2. Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir: A Snow Lovers’ Dream

Gulmarg in February is a dream place for those who love snow. As winter approaches, this beautiful town in the Himalayas becomes a winter wonderland. There is something for everyone in Gulmarg, whether you like adventure sports or just want to enjoy the beauty of snow-covered scenery. Check our Kashmir Tour Packages!

    What You Need to Do?

Skiing and snowboarding: The best skiing place in India is Gulmarg. It’s an ideal destination to hone your skills since it offers slopes for novices and experienced skiers alike.

The Gulmarg Gondola is one of the world’s tallest cable cars that you can ride. It goes to very high altitudes and offers a panoramic view of snow-clad hills and valleys. The experience is stunning and exciting at the same time.

If you feel like taking it easy, you can stroll through the town’s adorable snow-covered streets or sip a hot cup of kahwa tea, which is a traditional Kashmiri drink prepared with saffron and nuts.

Tip: Pack warm clothes and sturdy boots because it can get really cold, especially at night.

    3. Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh: Awakening of the Spirit

Varanasi is one of the oldest towns in the world and has a lot of spirituality and cultural diversity. With nice weather in February, you can easily explore this holy city without having to deal with the extreme heat of summer or the cold of winter.

    What You Need to Do?

Take a boat ride on the Ganges River early in the morning. Witnessing the sunrise over the ghats is a magic experience that lets you feel the spiritual heart of the city.

Visit the famous ghats. Each one has its meaning. The Dashashwamedh Ghat is very famous for the Ganga Aarti ceremony that happens every evening. It is a beautiful event with lights, chants, and music.

Visit the busy markets in Varanasi to learn more about the city’s rich culture. The city is known for its Banarasi silk skirts, which are lovely to bring back home or give as a gift.

Not to be missed: Mahashivratri, one of the most important Hindu holidays honoring Lord Shiva, usually falls in February. The people of the world flock into the city to see the processions, hear the music, and feel the spiritual energy.

    4. A Walk Through History in Hampi, Karnataka

February is great for history lovers and people who love nature because it could be visited in Hampi. The place is having a nice temperature to freely explore, with both historical ruins and beautiful landscapes.

To Do- You can walk through the remains of the Vijayanagara Empire, which includes temples with beautiful carvings, royal enclosures, and old markets. These landmarks are truly amazing in both their size and the quality of their work.

There is a temple in Virupaksha built in the 7th century and still used today. Its intricate designs and tall gopuram show how smart people were at building at the time.

Get a panoramic view of Hampi at sunrise by walking up Matanga Hill. It’s breathtaking to see the sun rise over the rocky landscape.

Do not miss: February is a great month for a walking tour and a leisurely exploration of the area as the weather is mild. For a more panoramic view and appreciation of the charm of the area, you can also take a bicycle.

In February, India has a lot of beautiful scenery and cultural sites to see. You’ll have an unforgettable experience in every place you visit, whether it’s the calm lakes of Udaipur, the snowy hills of Gulmarg, the spiritual vibe of Varanasi, or the old ruins of Hampi. The weather is nice, there are lots of fun things to do, and the view is beautiful this time of year. In February, get set to find the magic of India. Get set, pack your bags, and leave. Every trip you take gives you new things to write in your travel notebook.
